Goodbye Darwin

mark | July 7, 2018

This morning we departed Darwin. Great place to visit in the dry season. So much party time, repairs and tourist stuff.

Andy and I managed to repair the auto pilot. The whole helm had to be removed and the auto pilot chain and clutch. The cause was a little piece of epoxy insulation fallen into the clutch and jamming it open. tested and the helm re assembled and waterproofed it was all good.

We are now headed for King George River on the other side of the Joseph Bonaparte Gulf. Seas are flat with no wind. The journey should take us about 48 hours. Then - we find out why the locals call it Blown Apart Gulf.
