Lizard Island to Pipon Island, then Princess Charlotte Bay

mark | June 6, 2018

The next stop was a small island east of Cape Bathurst. We anchored in rising winds, with the gauge registering 30 knots. The night was a very windy night. The forecast was for increasing winds so we decided to take a day off and play it safe. As we raised the anchor to head for the safety of Princess Charlotte Bay the wind hit 34 knots. It was a nice 34 nautical mile sail over to the bay where we spent a relaxing day on the yacht.

Just after we anchored a couple of very young dolphins surface closer to the coast, they looked like they may have only been days old. That day we saw Dolphins, Sea Snakes, Eagles and lots more of the local wildlife.
